Publication Fees
Paper submitted by the authors will be subject to double-blind peer review by independent referees appointed by the editors (authors and reviewers are anonymous to each other).
Upon acceptance of the article, the author is asked to pay a publication fee (Article Publication Charge).
An article publication charge (APC) is a fee charged to authors to make their work available as open access (OA). This fee may be paid by the author, the author’s institution, or their research funder. Our open access journal charges an APC to cover the costs involved in the publication process, from administrating peer-review to copy editing and hosting the final article on dedicated servers.
The following fee structure applies to authors based on their Società Italiana di Economia, Demografia e Statistica (SIEDS) membership status and participation in the annual conference.
Please refer to the scenarios below for detailed information:
- For authors who are NOT SIEDS members and did NOT present their paper at the latest annual conference: The submission fee is €600, payable upon acceptance of the article.
- For SIEDS members (with up to date annual membership fee) who did NOT present their paper at the latest annual conference: The submission fee is €300, payable upon acceptance of the article.
- For authors who presented their paper at the latest SIEDS annual conference: There is no submission fee. Additionally, members in this category are allowed to submit up to two papers per calendar year. Those wishing to publish three or more papers must refer to scenario 1 (no SIEDS members) or scenario 2 (SIEDS members).
